Make time for recovery and rejuvenation!
Work hard, play harder. In other words, “work to live, not live to work”. The body and mind are like machines. We can only work it for so long, without rest before it breaks and gives up. There is nothing satisfying in gaining the world, but losing yourself in the process. Running Out of juice, getting sick, burned-out, depressed, lonely, sad, weak, tired and much more are all symptoms from the body telling you to…”slow down”. Getting away from work and letting the mind get involved in thinking, hobbies and rejuvenation before you come back to the job can make a lot of difference and help be more efficient.
Always make time to unwind and relax the body. Pick a hubby. Play a sport. Play an instrument. Read a book. Write. Or listen to music. Recovery means different things to different people, and you have to find what works for you.
