1.) The concept of “Easy” can be very misleading. Take a look at this art work. It’s possible for someone looking on to judge and say… “How easy does it get?” “Stick together a couple of old stereos and there you go.” Unfortunately, if that is your perception, then you are missing a big piece of the puzzle.
2.) Let’s take a closer look. 1+1=2 is easy to understand? Why? Because it’s just easy. Nothing complicated about that.
On the other hand 🖐, logging into Facebook or getting your product ordered, shipped and delivered to your doorsteps from Amazon within two ✌ hours or getting millions of search 🔎 results from Google in milliseconds seems easy. But is it?
3.) “Easy” is usually what we see and perceive. Complexity is how things actually are. People who build things want it to “look easy” or at least perceived that way. But it doesn’t mean the machinery behind an easy looking experience is trivial. Often times, the easier something looks, the more complex it actually is.
Have this in mind the next time you look at your favorite art work or use your favorite product. Is it easy, or does it just look easy? There is a massive difference.
Stay Humble! Stay Simple!
